African Horse Back Safari

Arrive in Lusaka in Zambia, Welcome to Africa. Transfer to Chundukwa River Lodge along the mighty Zambezi River just upstream from The Smoke that Thunders, Victoria Falls.

Today you will depart your water oasis and take a drive in a north-westerly direction to the Simalaha Conservancy. The Simalaha Conservancy has no large predators, making it an ideal location for your Horse Safari adventure. You will spend the next 4 days exploring the area, making new friends, and spending most of your time on horse back.

Simalaha has 16 large mammal species which can be seen in the plains and the surrounding Mopani forest. It is not unusual to see hundreds of wildebeest, zebras, and lechwe grazing in harmony with the local tribesmen's cattle, making this a truly unique horse riding experience.

Days are filled with horse riding activities in the plains, forest, and along the river. Guests are invited to visit the local community, learn more about life in the conservancy, see the beautifully built mud-style houses, and even learn a few local beer brewing techniques.
Spend a night sleeping under the magnificent starlit sky; a night to remember!

Return to Livingstone and the Chundukwa Lodge today for your final night before your departure the following day.
