The Wildebeest and Zebra turn south moving back across the Mara River and down the central and eastern side of the Serengeti National Park heading for Ndutu and the southern plains of the Serengeti National Park.

September is the peak of the dry season in South and North Luangwa National Parks in Zambia and with it comes the best opportunity to spot leopards in the parched landscape.

September and October is also a particularly special time to visit the Western Cape province of South Africa as this is wild flower season. Flowers blanket the nature reserves of the Western Cape from August to late September.
